La Pieve Brasserie in Mettmann

Ordered and picked up a meal there for the second time today in the second lockdown. My wife and I were already happy to eat here before, now I finally have to write a review about it ... Every meal we got here was simply awesome. Nowhere else do we get such tasty, perfectly prepared delicacies. I am really a critical guest and I am never afraid to write negative reviews, but the man here is really, really good and he knows how to cook. Every meal was just fun, including today, my personal highest honor 😊 In addition, perfect timing and nice service at the time of collection and all security measures implemented - contactless! Gastronomers with heart and passion I've been a satisfied guest at “Brasserie La Pieve” for years. Whether at lunchtime or in the evening in the company of business partners, friends or family. There is always a very pleasant atmosphere created by the owners. The changing and seasonal menu ensures plenty of variety. As a guest, I also attach particular importance to cleanliness, which is impeccable. That's how it has to be, then you go there more often and with pleasure. Also a big compliment to the service staff, always very nice and charming and always an eye for the guest and his wishes. I am already looking forward to my next visit and wish the team good luck and success in this particularly difficult time for restaurateurs.

Excellent food in a cozy atmosphere!

We discovered it once during a visit to Mettmann and actually come from Dormagen. Super nice atmosphere. Outside you feel like you're on vacation. Good quality cuisine, very nice owner-managed restaurant. We always like to come back. Will book it for a birthday too. Nor can I share Mr Spiegelberg's remarks. All measures are well followed

Mr. Spiegelberg, we were there at the same time. Your good observation skills will not have escaped the fact that the terrace was full within 15 minutes. Pouring a beer yourself is okay. Please think twice before you write such a slap. Harry cooks great and Uschi does a good job, mostly alone by the way! We are often there, and we have given 5 stars without deduction. Have a nice evening and have fun visiting other locations.

The food was good as always. The weather too. Unfortunately, the service was rather unfriendly and apparently had no desire to work that evening. The alcohol-free wheat beer (at least € 5, -) was not poured, but served in the bottle, my wife, who ordered a really small side salad (at least € 6.50) next to a shandy, got a snippy remark. "How, just a side salad"?). The tables are critically narrow for Corona times. A distance of 1.50 m to the guests at the next table is not possible. This is an advantage, as you can help each other out with cutlery, which shouldn't really be ... It's a shame, we would like to support the local landlords so much - if nothing happens changes, we will choose others again.

Today we went to see Mrs. Blum at La Pieve for dinner. The hygiene measures were observed very well and the distance was also maintained! The most important thing, the food, was excellent and was incredibly tasty! There is no better schnitzel in this area! Everything freshly fried in clarified butter and the service is extremely friendly. Even when it was full, every guest was served very well and if it could take a little longer, they were politely informed! I cannot understand the negative recessions for this restaurant. In addition, if you don't like it, you can also address the restaurateurs without any problems and not directly spread stink on the Internet, in my opinion. Great, tasty and large portion. A nice atmosphere.

We visited the brasserie with 2 adults and a toddler. The reception was very friendly, the menu appealing. The selection was varied and the presentation of the dishes at the table was appealing. The small restaurant invites you to relaxed (original Wiener Schnitzel) food and good communication with the host. All in all a successful evening and worth a recommendation!

It was just very, very tasty! ☺️ Thank you and we would love to come back to Corona to enjoy the ambience and the service on site.

Wonderful quality, super delicious food and very friendly people! The Boeuf Bourguignon tastes great! Not eaten so well - especially not in Mettmann! Keep your fingers crossed for the "difficult times"! We'll meet Again! Stay healthy!

Small but very nice and cozy. I only had coffee. Unfortunately there was no cake. The food on the next table looked very appetizing. We will definitely go there to eat soon.

Table was reserved for Saturday, December 14th. at 4 p.m. - were there at 3.20 p.m. and would have liked to escape the downpour ... The door was half opened by an unfriendly lady who didn't even have a good day or something. came across the lips but directly stated that there were no more places available. When I was told that a table had been reserved, we were told in the rain that we should go for a round of the Blotschenmarkt, there is still something left until 4 p.m., you still have to set tables !! To offend new customers like this and to literally leave them out in the rain is an impertinence on the customer ... The catering industry shouldn't behave like this ... It would certainly have been feasible to set the table if you were a little earlier would have been on site etc. Not recommendable !

Brasserie / restaurant with a clear map and good food. The owners couple and cook themselves. Very friendly and attentive service. The dishes are crafted well and taste good. The prices are a bit higher but the performance is reasonable.
